Executive Director

Bryan Flint

Raised in Alaska, Bryan Flint has 30 years of experience working with community-based justice and environmental organizations in Washington. Bryan brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to Sound Outreach: including non-profit management, coalition building and community organizing, fundraising, and public policy work.

Most recently the executive director of the Greater Metro Parks Foundation, he helped raise $10 million to build the Eastside Community Center. Bryan previously worked as the executive director of Tahoma Audubon Society and director of communications and outreach for the Commissioner of Public Lands Peter Goldmark.

Bryan lives in Tacoma with his wife and two cats and enjoys cycling, photography, and working a room. Bryan served on the Tacoma Public Utility Board for 10 years from 2011 to 2012 and is an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow. He has also been a member of Rotary Tacoma #8. Bryan graduated with a major in Political Science from Santa Clara University in 1990.

Director of Financial Counseling

Tim Jumper

Tim Jumper (he/him) is a Tacoma transplant, raised in a well-traveled military family, with extreme pride in his three children. After earning his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from HBCU, Central State University, in Ohio, he moved on to over a decade in Workforce Development, specializing in developing family stability initiatives for diverse and underserved communities. As a Certified Diversity Practitioner, with Exec-level experience in identifying, establishing, and managing strategic partnerships, he is a natural fit as our Director of Financial Counselors here at Sound Outreach, where he has served since 2016.  He has chosen Sound Outreach for his trust and wholehearted belief in our mission, vision, and strategic goals, including being an establishing member of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, SO Diverse. Tim additionally enjoys sports, fitness, and family fun — particularly with his new partner and soon-to-be blended family. He is also President of his local chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where they support various causes and organize community service events to enrich and give back to the community.

Director of Operations

Jennifer Morrison

Jennifer Morrison has been working with the inspiring and amazing clients of Sound  Outreach since April of 2019, thankful to collaborate with people working each day to make the world better. As our Program Manager, Jennifer assists in developing programs to support the organization’s strategic direction, as well as creates and manages long-term goals, develops budgets and operating plans, and writes program funding proposals.

Married, with three children, Jennifer spends her free time on driving adventures with her family and their dog Tater Tot, and scrapbooking.

Director of Development

Kirsten Willis

Tacoma has always been home for Kirsten. After attending Gonzaga University, she made her way back to begin a career in fund development. Working with non-profits like United Way, PCAF, Tacoma Community House and the Humane Society allowed her to learn more about the needs in our community. Now with over ten years in fundraising she is very excited to work at Sound Outreach as the Development Director. Her experience and passion to connect with donors and clients will help build a deeper community understanding of the mission of Sound Outreach.

Kirsten has also been a member of the Rotary Club of Tacoma #8 since 2010 and was recognized as the Rotarian of the Year in 2017. In 2011 she was featured as one of the 40 Under Forty by the Business Examiner.

Being raised in the Northwest, Kirsten is a huge fan of the Seahawks, Sounders and Zags basketball. She also enjoys reading and watching John Oliver each week. She lives in Old Town, and you will most likely see Kirsten walking her dog, Fitz, along Ruston Way.

Community Engagement Coordinator

Stephanie Grassi

Stephanie Grassi was born and raised in Tacoma and is committed to building a safe, stable, and thriving community for all residents.  After attending Evergreen State College and earning a Bachelor’s degree she embarked on an 18-year journey in the mortgage industry.   She assisted thousands of families through the process of one of the biggest investments of their life.  She was successful at building her business by referral through establishing trust and creating true connections with clients, business partners, and the community. She has actively served on several leadership committees and councils.  These range from helping advocate for small businesses, home ownership rights, affordable housing, community outreach and working with local government to make policy changes.

She is very excited to be at Sound Outreach!   The blending of the previous mortgage knowledge, history volunteering with non-profit and various institutions, along with the passion for helping others, is a great fit for the financial coaching position.  She is looking forward to working with the families and building financial wellness and stability in Tacoma and the greater Pierce County area.

Stephanie has a large Italian and extended family whom she enjoys spending time with, especially her son Brendan!   She loves to be active, outdoors, yoga, live music, boating and travel.  You will more than like see her walking/running the trails at Point Defiance or along Ruston Way.
